Drivers

As usual, the mod includes 19 AI drivers.  The goal was to have the Drivers Champion as the primary driver for each team, then add a secondary driver that either drove for the same team or, if not possible, drove the same car for a competing team. Here are the primary drivers who won the Drivers Championship (except for Hill): 1. 1955 F1 Mod: Juan Manuel Fangio 2. 1965 F1 Mod: Jim Clark 3. 1966 F1 Mod: Jack Brabham 4. 1966 CanAm Mod: John Surtees 5. 1967 F1 Mod: Dennie Hulme 6. 1967 F1 Mod: Graham Hill (1998 Papyrus Lotus 49 graphics demo driver) 7. 1967 F2 Mod: Jackie Ickx 8. 1967 Sports Cars Mod: Lorenzo Bandini.  There wasn't a driver's championship, but Ferrari won the Manufacturers Championship and Bandini was their primary driver before he died. 9. 1969 F1 Mod: Jackie Stewart 10. 1971 CanAm Mod: Peter Revson Here are the secondary drivers for each team: 11. 1955 F1 Mod: Stirling Moss 12. 1965 F1 Mod: Mike Spence 13. 1966 F1 Mod: Bob Anderson.  Hulme was the actual secondary driver for Motor Racing Developments (Team Brabham) in 1966, but he was already taken as the 1967 F1 Mod champion.  No one else drove a BT19 or BT20 in 1966.  Anderson drove a BT11/Coventry Climax 2.8L in 1966 as a privateer.  He is also a 1967 Brabham BT24 driver in the 1998 GPL. 14. 1966 CanAm Mod: Mark Donohue.  Hill was the actual secondary driver for Team Surtees, but he was already taken for the 1998 Papyrus Lotus 49 graphics demo.  Donohue drove a Lola T70 MkII for the Roger Penske team. 15. 1967 F1 Mod: Guy Ligier.  Brabham was the actual secondary driver for Motor Racing Developments (Team Brabham) in 1967, but he was already taken as the 1966 F1 Mod champion.  Ligier drove a 1966 BT20 with its lower horsepower type 620 engine in 1967 as a privateer and was the best remaining driver for the BT24.  He is also a 1967 Brabham BT24 driver in the 1998 GPL. 16. 1967 F2 Mod: Johnny Servoz-Gavin.  Rindt had more points than Ickx, but was an "A" rated driver, didn't qualify for the F2 championship, and drove a Brabham instead of a Matra.  Beltoise and Servoz-Gavin drove Matra MS5/7s in 1967 for Team Matra, but Beltoise is better as the secondary driver in 1969. 17. 1967 Sports Cars Mod: Chris Amon.  There wasn't a driver's championship, but Ferrari won the Manufacturers Championship and Amon was their secondary driver. 18. 1969 F1 Mod: Jean Paul Beltoise 19. 1971 CanAm: Tony Adamowicz.  Donohue was the actual secondary driver for Team McLaren, but he was already taken for the 1966 CanAm mod.  There were several privateer drivers that drove older McLaren M8 series cars in 1971 and Adamowicz was the best of the lot.
